| Tea Kidenda
|
The tea is traditionally used to promote resistance to urinary infections and help combat inflammation of kidney, urinary tract and bladder. Kidenda appears to be more effective against kidney and bladder infections when the urine secreted by kidneys has low acidity. The reason is that antibacterial potency of some herbal ingredients increases when pH is more alkaline. To promote the tea action avoid meat or other acidic food. It may be helpful to add small amount of Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate), about 1/5 - 1/4 of tea spoon per cup of tea. Brewing suggestions: Brew a tea of two full tea spoons per cup. There are two methods to brew this tea, use the one which gives better taste. In general, the tea brewed without boiling is less bitter. To brew without boiling add room temperature water and leave in warm corner for 12 - 20 hours with occasional stirring. Warm up the tea (without herbs) before use. Alternatively, add cold water, bring to near boil, kill the fire and let steep for 20 -30 min. Suggested use Take 2 - 4 cups per day, preferably with baking soda. Combine with multivitamins, hot baths or warm compresses in the kidney area. Continue the tea for several days after conditions will start to improve.
